Projects

These are the main varieties of mice and rats that I am working with. I may have other variety not listed here.

Texel
Texel is a coat type, combining angora and rex, creating a beautiful wave coat.
I am working on this coat type in a number of colors including; Black, blue, smoke siamese, red, dove, pied and more!

Short Ear
Short ear mice(American fold) are my *heart* variety. I love their unique little ears and super docile personalities.

My SE come in multiple coat types and colors.
Pictured here is (blue) rex coated- rex causes the hair to wave. They do normally lose curl as they age, but should still have some wave to it.

Black Self
Another heart variety of mine. I have been working on Black self since fall 2022.

while these guys are extremely Black, these are not the gene "Extreme black"- which lack any fault hairs. These mice are standard black self that have been selectively bred for darker pigmentation.

RumpWhite
Rumpwhite are just as they sound- just their butt's are white!!

due to the difficulty in breeding these- better marked mice are reserved for breeders. I do often have mismatched available.
I mostly work with rumpwhite in black, but end up with a various array of colors and patterns.

Currently i am working towards rumpwhite on XBlack for high contrast.

Hereford
Hereford Should have an even wedge blaze, white belly, white food stops(boots) and a partially white tail, this has been incredibly difficult to produce and I only recently was able to get ahold of it. its currently a heavy work in progress but I have mismarked/undermarked available from time to time.

Dominant Hairless
Dominant Hairless comes in both nude and fuzzy forms. Fuzzy can have a wide range from just a few hairs to light coverage of short velvety hairs like pictured here. Nude is without any hair at all.
Other Varieties

I dabble in a handful of other varieties, such as Tri, merle, pointed, brindle and various self. These are currently small-scale projects or random pop-ups
Dumbo&Top eared Rats

All of my rats come in both Dumbo and Top ear. I do not breed specifically for one nor the other.
Roan Rat

Roan rats are born solid-colored, but develop white hairs mixed in with their solid color starting at around 4–6 weeks old.
Silvermane Rat

Silvermane Rats are rats that present both their own color along with silver hair.
this can give them a unique look, especially when on darker colors. (Pictured is silvermane on black)

while I breed most to pit silvermane on black,, most litters provide a variety of colors.
Dwarf Rat

Dwarf rats are smaller than standard rats, averaging around half the size. These guys are sweet, curious and playful and one of my type favorite rats!

currently most of these babies are either Siamese or Burmese, but I do occasionally have other colors
Werewolf Rats

Werewolf Rats are an extremely interesting and unique type of rat. The werewolf gene causes the rat to lose hair in various symmetrical patterns. Your rat might have hair one day but not the next!
